Dealing with junkmail
Many mail programs include built-in filters for dealing with unwanted junkmail.
To setup Outlook's junkmail filters:

2. Click Message Rules and click Mail...

You may also like to use a mail filter such as "SpamPal" (download from http://www.spampal.org.uk/ ).

Protecting yourself from Viruses
Modern viruses use Outlook Express to send viruses and personal information via e-mail to your friends and others without the sender even clicking, thereby propagating itself and slowing your 'Net speed in the process.

You are guaranteed be infected by a virus if you don't:
1. Have anti-virus software
2. Keep the anti-virus software up-to-date. Usually, new anti-virus definitions are released weekly.

Suggested anti-virus software:
- "Norton Anti-Virus" ($30-50), download at http://www.symantec.com/nav/
- "AVG Anti-Virus" (FREE), download at http://www.grisoft.com/
